Well, I did a thing. I wrote a book! I created this website and blog to share my author journey with you.
Quest for the Enlightened Pilgrim
Imagine stepping off the bus or train in St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a charming medieval town nestled on the French side of the Pyrenees Mountains.
You’re about to embark on the Camino de Santiago, one of the most renowned Christian pilgrimages in the world. You've planned for this moment for months, maybe even years. How do you feel? Excited, happy, perhaps a little nervous?

Now, imagine you’re a 23-year-old woman. Life has knocked you down time and time again. Despite your youth, you’ve faced dead-end after dead-end. You don’t even fully understand why you’re here, except that someone who cares for you has bought you a ticket to France and two nights of accommodation. After that, she said you must find your own way. How do you feel now?
That’s Lucy, my protagonist. And she’s terrified. But buried deep inside her, there’s a flicker of hope.
Lucy finds her Albergue (pilgrim hostel), meets a few strangers, and feels embarrassed when someone asks why she’s walking—the words won’t come, and she can’t form a coherent answer.
Returning to her bunk, she finds a package—a large manila envelope with a single page taped to the outside.
Dear pilgrim,
Congratulations on your decision to walk the Camino de Santiago. The path ahead holds challenges, rewards, and maybe even magic and miracles. You have been selected to receive this manuscript. Please read the Foreword tonight, and read Part One in the morning before you begin your walk.
(Further instructions follow, and the letter ends with these words)
Stay present, be open to the experience, and integrate the principles into your life. When you do so, you shall meet the Enlightened Pilgrim.
Ultreia and Buen Camino, Peregrina.
Though Lucy hesitates to take the package with her, she can’t resist. She senses that inside, there’s a seed of hope waiting to sprout.
So, Lucy begins her Camino, reading the material each day and searching for the Enlightened Pilgrim. Will she find this elusive character, or will her journey end in frustration and failure?
